An ancient motif featured in the stonework at Hull Minster I found myself particularly drawn to the four-petal flower. Hull is my hometown the architecture and maritime history has an impact upon my work. Researching I discovered four-petal flower is often in Christian religion a representation of each season. Always inspired by the force of nature the range is also a tribute to one of my favourite artists Alphonse Mucha. Designs are developed from my own sketches and drawings to create durable jewellery with a delicate organic appearance.

Full description
Silver with 9 carat yellow and rose gold granulations
The flower has been hand cut from silver sheet with my jewellers piercing saw, rough edges are filed smooth completing the basic flower shape, a hole is drilled in the middle of the flower and next it is domed with a doming punch. Threading the stem through the hole. The end of the stem has been fused into a ball with more granulations of silver and gold being added to bear a resemblance to plant tendrils and buds. These little balls soldered to the stem secure the flower, which moves, spins and jingles; this pendant tinkles as the wearer moves attracting the ears as well as looking stunning.
The hook fastening is also handmade and bears my makers mark and hallmark by Sheffield Assay Office for authenticity. I choose to add this as I find generic of the peg hooks fiddly and also wanted something more in keeping with the design.
