This necklace has been made with handmade lampwork glass beads in a baby blue shade. The central three beads are all clear glass with applied blue glass detail but all have different patterns, featuring one with a dotty design, one with straight lines and one with swirling ones - what unites them is the absolute precision and elegance with which each part of every design is executed. They are framed by handmade lampwork glass spacer beads in a matching baby blue and the necklace is completed with Japanese seed beads in blue and a contrasting purple. The beads are strung on Beadalon wire, which is a group of stainless steel wires twisted together and coated in nylon, giving a strong and durable result. The necklace is finished with Sterling Silver findings, including a secure spring ring clasp.
The lampwork glass beads used in this necklace have been handmade with love in the UK by a talented artist and kiln annealed for strength. Each bead is truly unique and a piece of art in its own right. Wear them with pride!
Total necklace length is approximately 40.5cm (16 inches), including clasp. Each central lampwork glass bead is c.17mm wide by c.11mm long.
This necklace has not been hallmarked as the silver used falls under the legal exemption weight; however, the clasp carries a ‘925’ stamp.
I love how the central beads in this necklace are all very different even though they are formed in the same way. I chose to include purple seed beads to make them stand out a little and make the necklace more fun to wear.
