I saw the Dorset flag fluttering and wondered whether I could produce a traditional Dorset button version that might appeal to locals and visitors alike.

Full description

I have worked this Dorset button using the colours of the Dorset County flag. The button is an example of an old traditional design known as a Yarrell.

The button is worked on a 25 mm brass ring in a golden yellow, the main colour of the flag and the ridged rounds at the edge are worked in red and white, the colours of the cross. It is finished as a badge with a metal clasp on the back and is presented on a themed card with some historical context on the reverse.

The button is the perfect gift as a souvenir or memento of Dorset.
