I love the 1950's 'Flying Ducks' so this is my version.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This purchase is for three kiln formed glass birds. They come as three separate birds so you can hang them in any arrangement but they are intended to 'Fly Away Home' in a line.
The colours in the photograph are dark blue, sage green and red. Please be aware that the colours may vary slightly in real life because of the colour setting of your monitor. Each set is different as I hand cut and make them myself. You can also have a set made to order by choosing any of the following colours. Please go to the CHOOSE OPTIONS tab.
Each bird is roughly 12cm -15cm long. In a line they would need roughly 50cm wall space. These are wall mounted by a keyhole hook which ensures they are securely attached to the wall and three rubber stops to keep them slightly proud of the wall so you can adjust the angle of each bird securely. Instructions for the simple hanging system are included.
They are sunlight and water resistant, perfect for any wall including the bathroom and kitchen. Because of the keyhole hanging system they can also hang on a wall with a slight angle.
Kiln forming is a process where glass sheets are cut into the required shape, layered and then heated up in a kiln to a temperature where the glass melts and the layers fuse together. I use glass sheet and glass powder to make my birds. They have been digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety in my garden studio in Bristol.
