Hello and welcome! It's December and the festive season will be with us very soon. I have an array of beautifully handcrafted Beaded Beasties frames that would make unique gifts or decor pieces. I hope you will enjoy looking at them.
This page is home to Beaded Beasties: mixed media box frames of dragonflies and other creatures in a mini environment. Each one unique, made from new and recycled materials. I hope you love what you see.
Do please also take a look at my other page: DArTworld - Digital Imaginings for greetings and occasion cards and prints.
These pearlised beads and the background papers immediately made me think of ancient treasures and a line from Shelley's poem, Ozymandias, that I slightly altered from 'a traveller from an antique land' to 'Treasures from an Antique Land'!

Full description
This Beaded Beasties box frame conjures treasures from the East! Antique maps, ancient sailing ships, pearls and the glint of gold.
Recycled materials have been used throughout: to create the beaded damselfly with ivory-coloured, faceted pearl and gold beads. (Handy hint - the way to tell a damselfly from a dragonfly is that, at rest, the damselfly's wings lay back along the body whereas a dragonfly's wings are always splayed open.)
The golden tree is made with pearl beads, copper-coloured stars, twig branches and an old, gilded, leaf-shaped brooch. Glass nuggets, recycled leather cord and card complete the scene. Even the sheet music in the background has a connection because its title, 'Les Nymphes' relates to the name used for damselflies in their aquatic larval stage, nymphs!
The white box frame is 27cm (10.5 ins) square and 33mm deep with a hanging hook on the back. Each Beaded Beasties box frame is unique.
UK postage is included in the price.
