I recently met a live Madagascan chameleon at the wonderful "Eastern Biological" shop on Hackney Road, which specialises in gifts and books on the theme of natural history and the environment. These slow moving, observant, creatures, thoughtfully placing each step, with mitten like hands, and the most amazing textured and coloured skin. What a marvel to behold!

All items and creatures in the family of The Porcelain Menagerie are made from high fired stoneware or white porcelain and as such are as fragile as glass. They are vulnerable to being chipped or to break if dropped. Please treat with care when handling as items damaged by being dropped by the buyer will not be considered faulty for refund. Variations in the glaze and patterns on my porcelain hand-made items form part of the unique character of each piece and are intentional. Please note, these gifts are not toys and are therefore unsuitable for small children to play with. All items posted will be safely wrapped to protect them on their journey in tissue paper, cushioned and boxed for posting. Thank you for buying from my small business!

Welcome to The Porcelain Menagerie, the home of an expanding eclectic family of porcelain creatures, each one is handmade and decorated, no two are exactly the same!
And with chameleons, you wouldn't expect them to be would you? Their amazing ability to adapt and change colours to their environment has to be seen to be believed in the wild. Mine are of the non-colour changing breed, but fun to hang from your flourishing indoor plants (or perhaps your Christmas Tree?)
Your chameleon is made from fine white porcelain, with spotty textured skin, he is green blue shiny glazed.
Dimensions:
Nose to tail: 10.5cm
Back to bottom of tail: 5.5cm max
Each one is different, no two are exactly the same. He is hung on a fine red cord.
Your chameleon will be wrapped in tissue and bubble wrap and posted first class in the UK only. Standard postage charges apply to EU countries.
