This is my interpretation of a traditional mug used in the ancient west country wassailing tradition performed in orchards after the harvest, to ward away evil spirits and encourage a good harvest the following year. Mulled cider is passed (and drunk) from hand to hand, hence the need for three handles.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Stoneware Wassail mug with three hare handles. Glazed in Verdigris and stamped on the inside with the tinners hares symbol. It's 13cm tall by 11cm wide.
