I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. The latest additions are two attractive sycamore drinks trays but more items to come.
Occasionally when I have offcuts I just play around with shapes. I don’t have anything particularly in mind but just allow the wood to speak and let things evolve.

Full description
A small of spalted beech was used to turn this pot. The finish is dulled lacquer and waxed to give a warm satin sheen. The form enhances the figuring on the wood. I hope that you find the shape pleasing to the eye.
