A very pretty boutique jewellers quality dainty looking necklace designed and hand crafted using top quality Russian Chrome Diopside faceted rondelle cut gemstones. They slowly graduate in size complimented with quality rare Ethopian Wello Opal roundels graduating in size. Between each gemstone change I have used 2mm gold vermeil spacer beads. For the main construction I have used coated professional stainless steel jewellers wire for added strength and lasting durability, finished off with a gold vermeil bolt ring style clasp.
The necklace finished length is 17. 1/2" inches (42cms).
'Vermeil' is a term used when genuine gold has been overplayed over 925 sterling silver. To describe an item as 'gold vermeil' when it is gold plate over cheap base metals is illegal within the UK.
This necklace will make a perfect gift for ladies whom value and appreciate rare gemstones. Russian Chrome Diopside is mined for a few weeks during the cold Sibirian summer. Over the years fewer miners return to retrieve the rough mineral, thus making it difficult to obtain in all cut grades and expensive. The Ethopian government stopped all exports of rough wello opal some years ago. However, a few gemstone dealers's worldwide stock piled the rough, thus making it exorbitantly expensive when available within the trade in ready made jewellery or beaded strands.
The item is ready to be dispatched within 24 hours.
