Protection figure sculpture of the Voodoo Ghede Baron Samedi.
Baron Samedi usually found at the crossroads between worlds of the living and dead. When someone dies, he digs their grave and greets their soul after burial, leading them to the underworld.
Sculptures made primarily from recycled paper & a recycled wood base.
A while ago I began creating 'Carnival of Dead' figures.
These include various Carnival & Circus figures, Gothic Victorian Horror characters & Voodoo deities. They are a morph of traditional Mexican 'Day of the Dead doll figures, Scandinavian house protection charm figures & witchcraft poppets.
