Welcome to my shop Wiktorski Ceramics. Here you will find a variety of hand made products including pottery and cards. Each piece is made purely by hand and each glaze I apply is weighed and mixed by my own fair hands, similar to baking a cake. I was taught the traditional way and each glaze has taken many years to perfect. This makes it totally unique to Wiktorski Ceramics. Each piece is a one off and will not be seen again. Full description
Wire Art Bird cage pottery sculpture. My wire art bird cage is designed and made by hand using a delicate black and camel brown wire. The piece is sculpted using my fingers and jewellery clippers.
I have attached a white love heart into the centre of the bird cage which is made of clay, also made by hand by me. There is a small piece of driftwood fastened to the bird cage and a piece of silver birch at the bottom to create a base. In camel brown wire I have made two Love hearts which are twisted around the wire. There is also two flowers made from black wire attached to the outer wire.
The bird cage is designed to look crooked and misshapen as part of its design to give a shabby chic or antique feel to the style of this piece.
It can be hung around your home from your ceiling or placed into a windowsill, sideboard or table, the options are endless.
I have designed the wire art so that it can be hung directly from the twine hook.
Approx size- 16 x 29cm this includes the wire and hook. The wire used is approx 0.8mm thick.
The aluminium wire I have used is very fine and fragile so please be careful when unwrapping. You may need to slightly re-shape your bird cage after transit.
please note this piece may have sharp edges due to the nature of the wire. Do not let children play with it.
