Hello and welcome to DArTworld, my world of colour, reality and imagination in cards and prints. The subjects vary from the ancient and classical world right up to date but the thing that they have in common is the use of vibrant colour and the visual twist that I like to give my images. Full description
This bold image is taken from an ancient Greek statue of an athlete known as Diadoumenos or Diadem Bearer. The athlete had just won his event and was originally depicted tying a winner's ribbon around his head.
The card is blank inside for your own message. It is 7 x 5 inches, has a gloss finish and comes with a plain white envelope. It is protected with a cellophane wallet.
As usual, this image has been digitally created from one of my photographs. It is one of my favourites and I have also used it in other variations which you can see in my postcard sets.
