This box you see here, is only the third bandsaw box I have made. I have rather a lot of long off cuts taking up space in my very small workshop, which helped me with the idea to process them all into strips. I knew that it would look effective if it was all laminated, but felt I could push the boundaries a bit if it was laminated in a certain way. Once in a block there could be absolutely no error or failure when it came to cutting it out on the bandsaw (which nearly happened when the blade slipped off the wheels) In the end I couldn't have been more happier with the outcome. Its eye catching, smooth and tactile. Great for keeping the little worry people safe.

Full description
Several species of hard wood sawn into strips and laminated together in alternate ways. A video of how it was made can be viewed on my facebook page.
Woods used are Maple, Mahogany, Oak, Walnut, Puduk, and cherry, all laminated together sandwiched between thin plates of rosewood, the drawer handle is a small piece of ebony with some laminated strips laid on.
Again these are off cuts from pats jobs.
The box is cut on a bandsaw and reassembled, Corners are then rounded before the box is sanded to a high standard before sealed and waxed finished and buffed to a high sheen. An eye catching little trinket box .
