Textiles made from wire, chainmaille is a beautiful thing, it is tactile and feels lovely to wear.
Chainmaille is a time consuming process, every weave is handmade with passion.
I am fascinated by the vast number of chainmaille weaves available. I love the chainmaille costumes seen in re-enactment battles and how chainmaille has been used in fashion. I am always learning new chainmaille weaves.
I coil the wire into rings and saw cut the rings by hand. I then hand weave the rings in various weaves and hand paint by anodising the rings to create a beautiful piece of jewellery.
I work with natural materials so some variation in colour, inclusions, shape and size may occur. Variation is part of the charm of handmade and natural materials.

January birthstone garnet Swarovski crystal heart chainmaille necklace in sterling silver. Handmade by Crystal Clarke. Made to order.
High quality, beautiful and exquisite in its design this necklace is hand woven in a beautiful inverted weave.
I coil the silver wire into rings and saw cut the rings by hand. I then hand weave the rings in an inverted weave to create a beautiful necklace that is elegant and the perfect go-to for any occasion be it casual or special.
