Full description
This brooch measures 70mm by 40mm. It is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar, soldered to it. The pin secures with a rotating catch.
After building up several layers of clear enamel I have added a layer of blue. The copper base may be seen behind the blue, shimmering in tones of golden brown. After firing the blue layer I added a scatter of white enamel then the pink enamel and when the piece was at red hot in the kiln I drew a steel tip through the surface to create the unique, random, pattern.
