The jeans used for the covers were worn by my son and my daughter before the fabric wore thin at the knees . Saving them from landfill, I made them into journal covers.

This journal is Coptic bound with
- covers made from recycled jeans
- 180 pages (counting both sides of each sheet)
- page format approx. 12cm x 16cm (4 2/3" x 6 1/2") - a bit larger than a postcard
- mix of papers in white, brown, cream and colours
This chunky little notebook with its colourful pages feels great in the hands and will be a good conversation starter will you decide to use it in public. I have been using a similar journal myself for a while, and it never fails to be commented and complimented on.
The different pages are fun to use and inspiring to sketch and draw on. 72 of the pages are sketching paper some creme, others brown (Kraft-) paper, another 72 pages are made from white drawing paper, and 36 are made from coloured Clairefontaine drawing paper, high quality drawing paper with 30% rag content. All of these are great to write on with a broad variety of pens, pencils, and markers.
The pocket on the front is fully functional and can hold small items. I like the use them to hold items temporarily, like for example when given a business card in a seminar.

- pages flush with the covers all around (unlike other hardcover books where the covers are slightly larger than the book block)
- covers stay shut when the book lies on the table (they should not lift from the text block)
