This slimline vegan hip pouch solves the no-pocket problem when you're out and about with just your phone and some cash. It measures 22 cm x 15 cm, with a 15cm zip, which will accommodate most smart phones. The minimalist design means that you can wear it with any outfit without worrying about ruining the look; no unsightly bulges on the flank.
The vinyl front is made from the scraps from a camper van upholstery project. It's water-resistant and wipe-clean. The back is made from the remnants of some cordura, used for a Cornish surf-board bag. The 4cm wide hip strap is made of marine grade webbing . It is adjusted and fastened by the side-release buckle. The strap-keeper - which holds the extra length out of the way - is made from a recycled bicycle tyre.
These sleek pouches are attractive to those who like to keep away from leather, and also to those who enjoy using products which have an environmentally friendly back story..

Welcome! This is a very new shop and I'll be adding lots of other items soon. Look out for more hip bags, hip pouches, bags, hats, aprons, coin pouches, tote bags and shoulder bags. All made from recycled, salvaged or found materials.

After several years of using the larger hip bag ( see other items) as my day to day essentials carrier I realised that on some occasions I just wanted to take my phone and perhaps a library card. This is the result and I'm pleased that the sleek design means that I've solved the no-pocket problem ( and the too-much-in-the-pockets problem) in a neat and enviro-friendly way. I have access to scraps of many kinds and love planning which fabrics to use for which designs. As more folk steer clear of animal products I'd like to think that products like these, made from scraps of a leather substitute, will be more popular.
