Gathering grasses and foliage from the hedgerows and my garden and using them in clay to create impressions to compliment my own designs inspired from folk art and stories of simpler times, I hope my ceramics invoke a quiet joy in the celebration of home and nature.

Full description

Hand made decorative ceramic bowl made from stoneware clay and with blue folk bird amongst the meadow flowers beneath a starred folk house. Each bowl is made individually and with patterns from foraged foliage, my own stencil designs and also sourced stamps, all placed with care to create a little story in clay. The bowl measures approximately 10cm and has a matt finish with gloss highlights to the bird and to the flowery sun. The edges are left raw to celebrate the hand made nature and individuality of my work, each with its own marks and impressions from the making process.
