What is Sea glass?

I use genuine sea glass or pottery that has been collected from beautiful beaches, mainly in Cornwall, Dorset and Brighton where I live in the UK. Sea glass and pottery are pieces of broken plates and glassware, some being very old, from the Victorian era, others being more recent. These pieces are recycled by nature, and sharp shards are polished by the tide beating against the sand. Its estimated it takes about five years to weather the edges but many are much old than that. Part of the mystery is the history and sometimes if you find a unique colour or makers mark you can decipher its origin.
