B is for... well. It was almost Bowie, and he's certainly a man worthy of being portrayed many, many times over. But in the end I went for Marc Bolan, a massive star who I feel is sometimes overlooked today. His star shone brightly but dimmed quickly. I suspect he was on the verge of a great comeback before his tragic death, but as with many of those who will be featured in this A to Z of pop stars, he lives on in his wonderful music.
