Essentially the scrolling technique used to decorate this brooch is akin to feather icing or marbling. It involves disturbing the surface of the enamel while it is softened in a red hot kiln. The enamel is cooling to solidify while this is going on.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
To make the brooch I built up layers of white enamel then added random scatterings or red, yellow, black and blue enamels then drew through the surface to make the pattern you see, while the piece was at red hot in the kiln. Because of the technique used you can be assured that this brooch is unique and unrepeatable.
This brooch measures 25mm in diameter. I have soldered a 20mm brooch bar to the copper base; the pin secures with a rotating catch.
Your brooch will be sent boxed, by Royal Mail first class large letter, signed for.
