This bird is inspired by the Bullfinch.
With a black cap and white rump the males have a pink breast.
A shy bird that loves seeds like sunflowers. They have a habitat of scrubs woodland and hedgerows. When seeds are gone they eat the flower buds on fruiting trees. This hungry feeder can eat up to 30 buds a minute.

Full description

This Necklace is made by collaging old tins that I collect. Which means that each one is individual. I have a large collection of tins and sift through them all to find the right colours. I try and pick colours as close as possible to the bird. In this case a Bullfinch, which is a combination of pinky red/orange, white and black. Each piece is cut out with my piercing saw and filed so it fits properly.

The centre is walnut wood, with a silver backing, which the tins are riveted to.

The chain and clasp are also silver. And I have handmade the s shaped clasp.

The necklace comes in a recycled grey jewellery box with my name on it. And a tag with information on the bird.
