Full description
This is a silk perle 5 embroidery thread with its typical wonderful sheen. It can be used - no surprise - for embroidery but also for crochet and other fibrecrafts.
Length per skein is 12m.
Japanese Master Bookbinder Kosanjin Ikegami who wrote THE book about Japanese bookbinding recommends Silk Perle 5 thread for the typical 4-hole stitch binding.
And I like to use this thread for making slightly more rustic (than with finer thread) headbands.
The silk has been hand-dyed by a family owned business in Southern England. Please see the range of available colours in the photos and let me know what you would like to purchase.
The last images show a book for which I used this thread for headbands, it is not part of this listing.
