I love combining applique with embroidery and have used images collected on many walks as inspiration.

Full description
A cheerful felt kite, with embroidered tail and striking embroidered polka dots, on a patchwork background - stitched over a recycled CD form this plaque.
The background of this plaque has been created from machine appliqued strip patchwork on a plain fabric base. One of the strips is of printed flowers on a green background. These flowers have been replicated in hand embroidery on other 'meadow' stripes. The kite shape, cut from bright pink and orange felt, has been appliqued in place and enhanced with hand embroidery.
The plaque is stiffened by a central core of a recycled CD. The back of the plaque is neatened with commercial felt and a hanging loop, of button-hole stitch in cotton, is securely stitched in place.
Height (excluding hanging loop) - 13 cm approx.
First Class postage is included free of charge.
Please note this plaque may not be washed.
The easel is not included.
