How about one of these little everlasting flowers as an alternative to a birthday card?
This sweet felt and Liberty Lawn retro style flower with felt leaves is made from wood and bamboo with stitched detailing in co-ordinating threads. I've added a little hand printed label saying grow on it. Pop it in a bottle or small vase on the mantlepiece or give it to a friend along with some real flowers for a special present.
The flower measures approx 3.5 cm across (1.5 inches) then the leaves are about 6.5 cm (2.75 inches) at their widest point, and the whole flower is approx 22cm (9 inches) tall.
