Full description
This is a 12 page PDF knitting PATTERN with instructions for three sizes of baby blanket:
Small 45cm x 60cm (18" x 24"); Medium 60cm x 75cm (24" x 30"); Large 75cm x 75cm (30cm x 30cm).
The pattern is written as colour charts and written instructions in standard UK knitting terminology. There are 6 one shade squares, each with a different pattern and 6 "picture" squares. They are knitted from bottom to top in strips then sewn together vertically. The edging is knitted separately and sewn on. I usually back the small blanket with quilting, there are instructions in the pattern for how to do this. You will need to know how to follow a chart and be able to do intarsia and fair isle (stranding) to knit this pattern.
Materials required: 1 pair 3.25mm knitting needles, a cable needle, darning (sewing up) needle.
Quilting if required to fit small blanket. (47cm x 62cm)
Rowan Cotton Glace 100% cotton or similar yarn
There are 11 different shades in this pattern, some of which you will need in small amounts. You can buy knitting kits in my Folksy shop which provide you with sufficient yarn to knit and sew up the blanket.
