Like most people, I love poppies of all descriptions but especially the poignancy of field poppies. They are so unmistakable and amazing when seen in abundance along hedgerows or the edges of fields basking in the summer sun.
I've heard that their seeds can lay dormant for a hundred years waiting for someone to come along and disturb the ground. Nature is amazing....if true!
