This gorgeous female torso wall hanging is both subtle yet striking with the marble effect that is emphasised by the simple form and flow of the body shape and colours themselves. It makes any bare wall look modern and it is a statement piece in itself. I can make ones to order and can offer a choice of colours to choose from. Please contact me.

Made from using different paper techniques (and ingredients (paper, wallpaper paste, PVA glue, shop towel, filler) to build up the structure over a mould and add definition plus texture to complete the transformation from rolled up newspaper to the finished piece. Filler was smoothed over the torso and then pulled away to get a textured look in some parts. Painted overall in Fusion Mineral Paint of off white then used a fluid pouring technique of pouring layers of Sterling white, grey and gold over the body and moving it around to get a marble effect. The paint acts as a sealant as well as four coats of varnish. Contact me for more info on how I made this.

I had seen a resin body sculpture that was hanging in a shop and thought that it would be grand to do a paper mache one at a more affordable price for people to buy. I think fluid pouring with paints is amazing and so effective and thought it would look unusual on the body, but would also emphasize the body's 3D form. We hope you like it too.
