I love the Mad Hatter vibe and had seen some lamps that were made from cups and saucers and thought why not make something in theme of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Hence the top hat, and trying to get the off balance feel to the lamp to give that fun affect to it. Plus I like making things that could make people smile!

This lamp has now been sold. It
It is both practical and fun, as it gives off a warm ambiance from the glow of the retro light bulb that peeps through at the top of the hat, and when you look at the lamp - it does make you smile. In contrast it has an elegance to it, with the gold and white dappled colours and the flow of lamp itself. it is a one off design. It is made up from two tea sets that complimented each other in their design and colours which have been securely fixed to each other at angles with specialised glue. The hat has been treated with fire retardant spray.Non switch flex - plug is PAT tested and we have included the light bulb (Bayonet 60w). To add to the theme a gold jokers card, watch face and gold knitting needles have been added to the hat that has been sprayed lightly in gold to add a hint of colour against the black fabric. All the pieces used have been up cycled so there are slight signs of their previous life which adds to it’s charm.
