Full description
A stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Ladybird, a favourite garden insect..
A bright coloured beelte or bug to hang in your window all year round and hopefully frighten all the aphids away.
The ladybird is cut from bright red textured glass with iridescent black for head and tail.
The 8 spots are little black nuggets , soldered into place and the eyes pretty red and yellow millefiori beads.
I've added antennae made from wire so it can better locate the aphids when they attack your lupins.
This would make a super, unique present for anyone but especially for a gardener as the ladybird really is the gardener's friend.
It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely ornament for any room.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the bug.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
It is10cm x 7.5cm excluding the antennae
