This leather key fob / key ring is made from quality natural veg-tanned leather and has a horse's head embossed and painted on it, making it a perfect gift for a horse lover.

The motif is hand-drawn, which makes every image unique. The details are stamped out using special leather embossing tools. The motif is then painted with a brown leather dye. The key fob is stitched securely in place, by hand, using traditional saddle stitching. The edges are burnished to make them smooth and shiny, and the whole thing is rubbed with a leather waterproofing solution to protect the design and the key ring.

Because this key fob is made form natural (ie undyed) leather, it will darken with time and use, turning a pale tan colour eventually.

Dimensions: the metal ring is 22mm in diameter; the leather fob is approximately 65mm x 45mm.

The stitching comes in a choice of brown or cream; if you have a preference, please specify when ordering.

A work colleague asked me if I could make one for his daughter. He wanted a horse's head on one side, and the initial 'L' on the other. This I did for him - it was my first commission :)
