Item details

Small leather coin purse in a dark tan / brown Italian veg-tanned leather with a turquoise gusset in a thinner upholstery leather. This purse is perfect for keeping your small change in, and easily fits into the palm of your hand. Its dimensions are 70mm x 75mm x 20mm.

The purse has been hand-stitched, using traditional techniques, and attention paid to details such as bevelling and burnishing the edges of the leather to make them smooth and shiny.

The standard purse comes without a motif, but I can add a motif if you would like one. Examples of motifs include cat silhouette, butterfly, horse's head, etc - please see photos for details. Each motif is hand-drawn, and then embossed using special embossing tools, before adding a layer of leather dye to bring out the 3D effect of the embossing.

Please state which motif you would like when ordering. If you do not specify a motif I will send a plain purse with no motif.

I like small purses that fit easily in my hand (I have small hands) and this is a variant of one of those. I chose the dark tan because it is a lovely rich brown, while still being light enough to take the dye of the motifs.
