Full description
This textile artwork shows an abstract interpretation of the Cumbrian landscape of Mungrisdale seen on a bright December day.
The scene was simplified through photography and drawings before being translated into textiles and yarn using the rag rug techniques of hand hooking and punch needle.
The piece uses re-purposed textiles and mixed fibre yarn.
The hooked area measures approx:-
Height 20.5 cm (8 inches)
Width 14 cm (5 & 1/2 inches)
The mount board measures approx:-
Height 40 cm (15 & 3/4 inches)
Width 30 cm (11 & 13/16 inches)
