I saw a button wire heart in a shop, very little decoration and they were asking a fortune for it. So like all crafters I said I could make that and the same day I walked into a fabric shop and bought a huge bag of buttons for pennies. It was meant to be! Over a number of years I have perfected the decoration with the help of my husband who crafts a beautiful shape heart for me over a rolling pin and I now teach how to make them at workshops. A success story.

Full description
This beautiful hanging decoration , (box not included), is created from a hand shaped piece of wire with a base of off white coloured shirt buttons sewn onto it with copper wire. A second layer of mauve buttons with a white edge are dotted around the shape. Two dragonfly decorations made from beads and acrylic adorn this heart together with ribbon rose, paper butterflies and flowers which are attached on with silicone glue. A deep mauve satin ribbon measuring approx 31cm has been sewn onto the shape so that it can be hung up.
This is a very versatile decoration. It could be used as a gift for a bridesmaid, ribbon removed it could be placed on the front of an 8X8 inch card or adorn the front of an album or treasure box.
Please note this is not a toy. Although I have ensured all embellishments are securely attached, little fingers could still pul them off if they so wished.
