Welcome to my shop where you will find accessories created from vintage and recycled linens, lace and fabrics together with a selection of vintage and upcycled sewing supplies - including vintage lace. Accessories featuring original embroidery, in association with felting, hand dyeing, fabric painting and crazy patchwork may be found in my other shop 'Lynwoodcrafts'.
A pretty garden scene created by embroidery and needle felting, on a background of tweed fabric, forms the front panel of this pincushion.
A length of green and blue tweed, recycled from a skirt, has been felted (fulled). Roses and the background for pink anemones, have been felted onto the tweed using hand-dyed wool. Details of these flowers, and many other flowers an foliage, have been added by hand embroidery in cotton threads and wool..
The back of the pincushion has been cut from the same fulled tweed fabric. The back and front panels have been blanket-stitched together.
The pincushion is filled with polyester wadding.
This pincushion is posted free of charge to UK addresses.

I have some lengths of recycled and fulled (or felted) tweed skirting. I also have a large collection of fibres - much of it hand-dyed and including wool, mohair and silk. I am enjoying needle felting and this pincushion is one of the resulting items.
