My inspiration with this one was to make a shawl for a lady that might wear a lot of grey or navy blue and wanted to add just a drop of colour to her ensemble. A shawl for someone that shyed away from bold intricate designs or colorful ones, that was my aim.
In real life, the turquoise blue is not as bright as it looks in the pictures.
For reference, it is made with Mandala acrylic yarn for easy care in Spirit colourway.

When I was crocheting this shawl, I designed the texture and engineered the colour changes so it would appeal more to someone seeking a maybe more subtle severe look.

I used the greys and navy blues of this mandala acrylic yarn venturing only as far as the turquoise blue.

I added texture by including subtle ridges in the pattern and a lace row at regular intervals.

Now when I look at the pictures, I realise it is still quite bright.
