Prestige Golden Pyrite Ammonite Fossil Keyring or handbag charm with Gold Tone findings.
These fossil Ammonites have over a period of millions of years become Pyrite, so a metal like structure, which makes these little fossils very tough and strong and unusually weighty for their size and is very Pretty antique gold in colour with great definition.
This lovely little Golden Pyrite Fossil Ammonite was located with a natural round perforation in the centre, making it ideal for mounting onto a triangle bail and teamed up with Gold Tone curb style keychain and split ring, to make the items useable as a Keyring or handbag charm.
Lyme Regis, in Dorset, where these fossils were located, is known as the Jurassic coast and is wonderfully rich and abundant in these wonderful Ammonite fossils.
Approximate measurements: The whole keyring, including the ammonite, chain and split ring measures approx 7cms in length. The little ammonite is approx 17mms by 15mms by 5mms at its widest points. As this ammonite is unique, natural fossil, thereafe differences in colour and definition within the item as photographed, with more details portions and mor rustic areas.
As this is a natural pyrite fossil, it is robust but not unbreakable!
Oxidation and colour change can occur.
