Full description
This hand made necklace is a versatile addition to any jewellery collection due to its colour.
The colours dominating the design are grey black and white with a hint of amber, and a touch of blue in close up.
I use various shades and blends of polymer clay to make a patterned length of cane which is manipulated and shaped to the size I require. I use thin slices of this cane to make a veneer which is then used to decorate the large and small bead shapes in the necklace.
The long beads are all hand made shapes. All the beads are shaped in base clay and then covered with the pattern veneer. The beads are then baked to harden the clay.
Once hardened the beads are drilled, then sanded and polished to give shine.
Finally the necklace is strung on black leather cord with the addition of silver plated bead caps and vine leaf clasp.
The necklace measures approximately 45 cm and the central bead provides a further 4 cm drop from the leather cord
