Full description
The necklace has been made by me from Polymer Clay. The process involves blending colours of raw clay and creating a surface pattern by indenting the clay and then carefully shaving away layers to produce an interesting design.
Each of the 3 beads has been made by applying this design veneer to the bead shape. The beads are baked to harden the clay, a textured clay backing sheet is then applied and the beads are baked again to harden the backing clay.
This design includes clay with a glittering silver inclusion which adds sparkle and interest to the design.
The beads have been strung on black leather, with small silver bead spacers.
The clasp is made from two further round beads with an imbedded magnet, to provide a simple, easy and strong closure.
The total length of the necklace is approximately 470 mm, and the length of each bead is 53 mm.
