Full description
This triangle shape measures 67mm at its longest, 30mm at its widest. It is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar soldered to the copper base. The pin secures with a rotating catch.
To make the brooch I built up layers of clear enamel on the copper base and then fired a coat of blue enamel over that. The copper shows through the blue in tones of golden-brown. I then scattered a pile of white enamel in the centre of the triangle, added a contrasting blue to it and set a piece of black enamel rod beside it. When the piece was at red hot in the kiln I drew a steel tip through these to create the unique starburst pattern.
