Full description
These sweet little flower earrings are made from aluminium which I have dyed with light green checks and sealed so that the colour becomes a permanent part of the metal. I then saw pierce the flower shapes by hand, file and emery the edges to give a smooth finish and dome them inwards so that they curve like a real flower.
As aluminium can't be soldered the sterling silver stud part of the earring feeds through a hole in the flower but isn't fixed, this is normal for aluminium studs, the pressure from the butterfly behind the flower holds it in place against the earlobe.
The flower measures approximately13mm in diameter and the earposts are sterling silver.
