Full description
These stud earrings are made from anodised aluminium which I have dyed in turquoise and printed with a silver allium print. The dye is sealed in to the surface of the metal and made permanent through heat. I cut out the circles by hand using a jeweller's piercing saw and file the edges to give a nice smooth finish. It is not possible to solder aluminium so the studs are separate earrings which can be worn separately and are threaded through the circles and held on to the ear with pressure from the butterfly at the back.
The circles measure approximately 13mm across and the studs are sterling silver.
