Hidden in the fabrics for this sweet little baby quilt are butterflies and tulips, as well as abstract patterns, from the lovely Aria range of fabrics by Moda. On the back, I've used some precious pieces of butter-soft Liberty Tana lawn. In between the layers is my favourite bamboo blend wadding. And I've quilted it with a simple yet neat design.
The quilt hasn't been washed yet, but will get softer and softer with use and with laundering: there will be some shrinkage after washing, giving it that characteristic 'wrinkle'.
I think it would look equally at home in a modern setting or a retro nursery.
