An eco-friendly, hand sewn collage (made from discarded leaflets) recording thirty days of news headlines in February, 2017.
The title 'Storm Doris Is Coming', came from one of the headlines.
It is a one-off, there is no other the same.
It measures 41cms x 35cms (approx), with a couple of centimetres extra border to be trimmed for framing.
It is unframed.
The price includes 'signed for' delivery, within the UK.
The overseas postage price, shown below, is for Royal Mail 'International Tracked and Signed'.
Please note, if you live outside the EU you may be responsible for paying import duties or taxes, in accordance with your country's customs laws.
All of my work is individually numbered, this piece is 816.
I am a hardcore observer of the news.
Each day in February, this year, I wrote down a headline, and then hand-stitched it to an old leaflet or book page.
To make it into a nice neat shape I added the last day of January and the first day of March.
Ironically, it has taken three months and ten days to complete.
The provenance of the discarded papers, and more detailed information about each news item, can be found on my blog (alisonsye.wordpress.com). There is not enough space for that stuff here.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to give me a shout.
P.S. I post regular 'work in progress' updates on Instagram.
