A lampshade made using original 1950s curtain fabric.

Frame: 25cm Diameter
Depth: 15cm
Ceiling or lamp base fitting

FRAME FITTINGS:

The frame fits standard UK bayonet fittings, but if you remove the inner ring it can be adapted to fit the European fittings.

Please note: If it’s a re-used frame it would be a UK fitting only (we will state this)

THE IMPORTANT STUFF:

All the lampshades are backed with flame retardant backing, which has passed the glow wire test, that is carried out by the Lighting Association.

We would recommend using a low energy bulb with these shades. Using a max wattage of 60 watts.

I have had this material for about 30 years-i can't even remember where I got it from-probably a jumble sale find in the 1980s! I love it's bubbly pattern, the bright colours and how it stands out from other fabrics. Because it's so old it is very delicate-and tricky to find sections that are usable. I have managed though! Any signs of age, or previous life as a curtain, just add to it's charm I think!
