When I lived in the Brecon Beacons, I used to visit the local standing stone very often, when I needed peace and quiet and to think. This piece was inspired by the standing stone, the swirls by the ancient Ogham swirls found in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Cornwall. I wanted to use as natural materials as possible, and so decided that copper would set the stone off beautifully.
