This original mindfulness art "Get Well Soon" or mental health recovery card is also available as an A4 print (£15): https://folksy.com/items/6881368-Cobwebs-dandelions-mindfulness-illustration-A4-print-on-matte-archival-paper
This piece is inspired by my first experiences of compassion focused therapy and mindfulness meditations.
Much human pain and suffering is intensified by the natural urge to avoid it. It is impossible to avoid negative feelings without also avoiding the positive. We build ourselves stories over years that we carry with us, stopping us experiencing the full spectrum of possible emotions and restricting our behaviours and how we relate to others.
Those stories can be protective and necessary in certain situations, but they can also become cumbersome and create barriers to our own ability to thrive.
We can learn the skills we need to gently start to approach the feelings we fear. With mindfulness and self compassion we can learn to step temporarily away from those stories, in a safe space and allow ourselves to just experience being alive without any strings attached.
A card for those struggling with trauma, mental ill health and crisis (blank inside).
A6 greetings card/notelet with white envelope.
