All my jewellery listed here is sterling silver except for the silver plated upcycled cutlery collection. There will be elements of sterling silver in every design (except keyrings and bookmarks), some will be completely so, others may have combinations of copper, brass, bronze, glass, enamel, pewter, resin, upcycled biscuit tins, cutlery and pre-decimal coins and/or gemstones as well. Many of the designs are one-of-a-kind.
My Grandad left me lots of old coins - halfpennies, pennies & brass 3d bits. I'm gradually working my way through them, developing lots of different ideas as I go along.
I am a dog person with a tiny black toy poodle, Zuzu. She isn't cut like a show poodle with the bare bum and pom tail, I really hate that, so to make something in her image wouldn't be recognisable to anybody else. So I make various generic types like "hound", "puppy" and "terrier" though I must admit, the terrier generally turns out like a Westie when I do it in silver. But I do like Westies too of course, just don't ask me to do a specific Patterdale or a Dalmatian or anything like that, it isn't going to happen!
Cutting out a paw covers all bases and can also be used to represent a cat as well.

Full description
A paw has been cut out of a bronze halfpenny coin and then made into a domed shape. Approximately 2.5 cms across.
Finished with a sterling silver chain, 16 or 18 inch, please specify which you would like when ordering.
(You will also find this coin as a keyring elsewhere in my shop, the only item I sell that does not have a sterling silver fitting and is therefore slighly cheaper.)
The example for sale is a 1957 coin. Others may be available, depending on stock however, this would need to be made to order and would take a little longer than this one shown which is ready for despatch.
(The halfpenny with Sir Francis Drake's Golden Hind ship was minted from 1936 and was legal tender until 1969 - they were not minted every year, e.g. there were none in 1961, but I do have quite a few years in my collection.)

FYI - Bronze is an alloy and these coins were made up of 95% copper with 4% tin and 1% zinc.
It is used to represent the 8th wedding anniversary in the traditional calendar and the 19th in the modern version.
It is illegal to deface the queen's image if the coin is still legal tender. The pre-decimal coins that I use are no longer legal tender - and I also have a license to do what I do.
