This is a big bag with lots and lots of room inside. Made from a lovely soft feel upholstery weight velvet this fully lined bag has short handles that slip over the arm or can be held in the hand without the bag dragging on the floor (tested on person of 5ft 4in). This bag was designed with clothes shopping in mind, I wouldn't recommend filling it with tinned groceries as those would be too heavy.

The fabric is sturdy and holds it's shape well yet at the same time allows the bag to collapse for storage if needed. The handles are attached with rivets which haven't all gone on perfectly so the price is discounted from what it would normally be to reflect that, you've got to get very close to it to see the bumps in the rivets though. The top panel closes with a center zip, once closed nothing can fall out or easily be picked out by the less honest!

I work with recycled and waste fabrics many of which I only ever have enough of to make one bag hence all of my bags are unique. Even if the same pattern and fabric are used no two bags will ever be the same so by buying one of my bags you know you have the only one like it in the world. While this style may be repeated in this or other fabrics the details and handles will vary on any other made in this fabric.

After having something 'lost' (I still don't know if it was pick pocketed out of just fell out) from a shopping bag while buying new clothes for my a.s.d. daughter and dealing with the resulting upset it caused her I set out to design a shopping bag where my lovely new things could be completely enclosed. It had to big enough to hold plenty, not flat and completely closable as well as easy to use and store.
