Unique, original handmade abstract textile piece in blues and greens framed in a painted wooden box frame (aperture size 20cm x20 cm)

The background of the piece is created by wet felting merino wool combined with a variety of fibres. It is then embellished by hand, using wire, beads and threads.

The piece is signed and dated.

When I first saw the large blue/green beads, I immediately began to picture the felt piece I could create in which to incorporate them. Most of my work features spirals somewhere within them; a shape which I find aesthetically pleasing and one which helps create fluidity. As I work on the piece, the threads and beads almost begin to choose themselves.
